Interior of Creek Coffee House Lillington North CarolinaCongratulations to Creek Coffee House on their second anniversary as an independent coffee shop! Owner Chess Royal opened the shop at 75 Marshbanks Street in Lillington, N.C. in August 2012.

Chess created the coffee house as a comfortable hangout for students from nearby Campbell University. The website logo even features the Campbell Camel mascot.

Students and other customers can get their java buzz with a menu of hot, cold and frozen espresso drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes and the ever-popular Creek Mocha. Other menu favorites include frozen hot chocolate, fruit smoothies, chai lattes and hot and iced teas.

As Chess told the Dunn Daily record, “The idea was for this place to be an extension of our home – that’s what makes us different. I wanted the students to have a place to relax, to study and just hang out – if you want to read, come and read, and if you want to play some music, you can grab a guitar off the wall.”

Chess said that one of the factors in his success is high-quality Crimson Cup Coffee. He learned about running a coffee shop through our Seven Steps Success coffee franchise alternative program.
