Saturday, April 20 is National Cold Brew Day! Smooth, cold-brewed coffee has taken the coffee world by storm. Many people prefer cold-brewed coffee to iced coffee because it’s less acidic, less bitter and smoother.

Here are a few of the ways we’re sipping in celebration.

Crimson Cup Canned Cold BrewCrimson Cup Canned Cold Brew. Our latest drink innovation, Crimson Cup’s smooth new Canned Cold Brew features a direct trade Guatemala Antigua coffee.

Mario Rodas and his mother Lucrecia named their small farm Finca El Cadejo after a mythical Guatemalan dog believed to shepherd drinkers safely home after a night of indulgence. Sourced through our Friend2Farmer program, the coffee tastes slightly sweet with notes of bittersweet chocolate, floral and citrus. Coffee and filtered water are the only ingredients!

Pick up a can at our Crimson Cup coffee houses, The Hills Market or Weiland’s Market.

Crimson Cup Nitro at Crazy Llama Coffee in Webb City, MissouriNitro Cold Brew. Since we introduced Nitro to Columbus back in 2012, this effervescent drink has become one of the favorite ways for local java lovers to cold brew!

We slow-steep a rotating selection of our award-winning craft coffees for a super smooth taste, then infuse the coffee with nitrogen for a naturally sweet flavor and velvety crema. Many Nitro drinkers say it has the mouth-feel of a fine milk stout.

Try Nitro on tap at Crimson Cup Coffee Houses and an expanding array of restaurants, bars and cafés around Ohio.

Cold Brew Growlers. To enjoy cold brew at home, stop by a Crimson Cup Coffee House to pick up a 32-ounce glass growler jug filled with our cold-brewed Armando’s Blend coffee.

Brew Your Own Cold Brew. All you need is some coarsely ground specialty coffee and filtered water.

Mix approximately one ounce of coffee per cup of water together and allow it to steep 12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator. Strain out the grounds and enjoy the coffee concentrate over ice or diluted with milk or water.

However you cold brew, raise a glass to this smooth, cool and delicious coffee trend. Cheers!
